Residence on 18 acres

This dramatic site presented opportunity to celebrate the heroic and nurture the meditative. Far reaching views of rural countryside and the sheltered area of a forested dell at the foot of a steep mountainside interface at the house. Expansive door openings diagonally opposite each other blur the distinction between indoor and outdoor living. Materials were selected for sustainability and detailed to highlight their natural character.
